Classical & Contemporary Pilates

Classical Pilates, founded by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, is a method that emphasizes precise movements and flowing sequences to improve core strength, flexibility, and overall body alignment. It follows a specific repertoire of exercises using traditional Pilates equipment such as the reformer, cadillac, and wunda chair.

While preserving the original teachings of Joseph Pilates, contemporary Pilates incorporates modern research and advancements in exercise science to create a more diverse and personalized approach. It often includes variations of exercises, props like resistance bands and foam rollers, and modifications tailored to individual needs and fitness levels.

Both Classical and Contemporary Pilates are effective in helping individuals achieve improved posture, increased strength, and enhanced mind-body awareness, offering a holistic approach to physical fitness and well-being.
